About

Anger is a normal, healthy emotion. It’s a way of expressing frustration or displeasure at a situation that seems unjust or threatening. Most people feel angry once in a while, but if your anger is getting out of control, you may have an anger problem.

It's  is a complex emotion that has many causes. Sometimes they are obvious, such as when someone insults you or harms something you care about. But sometimes the causes are less clear — we get angry even when there’s no apparent provocation, which is called displaced anger or misdirected anger. And sometimes we get angry about something that happened long ago, which is called suppressed anger or repressed anger.

An anger problem can cause you to lose control over your actions and become physically violent. Anger management techniques can help you understand the message behind your anger and express it in a healthy way without losing control. A therapist can help you manage your anger and give you techniques for expressing anger constructively
